Ambassadors for Christ

As I started creating this website, I began to wonder why I wanted to make it in the first place. What was my true motive in building a page on the internet for the world to see? Was it my inner sense of creativity that is always itching to create something, to put something unique into this world that would not exist unless I designed it? That definitely was what first sparked my interest. However, I came across a Bible verse that drastically changed my mindset about the purpose of my website:
"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us" (2 Corinthians 5:20).
The word "ambassador" in the verse caught my attention and got me thinking about the real meaning of ambassador. After a quick internet search, I concluded that an ambassador represents and promotes something. They aim to attract the interests of others to forward their organization or cause, and they serve as an example of what they represent.
So, what does being an ambassador mean in the context of the verse? God wants us to represent Him by living in a way that others can see Christ through our lives. He wants us to promote Him by sharing His Word with others so that they also have the opportunity to become a believer. It is absolutely mindblowing that God calls me and other believers to represent Him through my life and promote Him to others.
After discovering 2 Corinthians 5:20, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my website. I want a platform to share the Word and encourage others in their faith while also growing my own. I hope to fulfill my role as an ambassador for Christ, starting with this first blog entry. I can now share my beliefs to hopefully encourage other Christian ambassadors and reach people who may not have yet experienced the blessings of being saved. My greatest desire is that others will be able to see Christ through this website, and more importantly, through my life as a whole.
